Home. The home is part of the of the Embankment Care group.
The Care group HQ is based in London and owns 6 Nursing and care home in the

residents, Average occupancy up to 31st December 2019 was 80%.
The Cabrera Home is located in Grindlesburgh, a small village located in the centre

have been falling to around 60% due to the Covid-19 crisis. Cabrera has thee wings

your attention and response.
Marks will be allocated:

  1. Evaluation of the Cabrera Home setting process and budget reporting.
    35%
  2. Financial critique of the local Trust and exploration of factors creating financial
pressures upon the wider Health and Social Care sector. The aim is to
understand potential collaborative working and the financial barriers that may
    be faced.
    35%
  3. Critical evaluation of the Service Development Proposal developed by the
Cabrera Centre and set out your final recommendation.
    20%
  4. Style, presentation, and format. 10%
    Assessment Criteria
The analysis must be supported by academic theories and concepts, and the paper
must comply with the format stated in the brief and Harvard referencing guidelines.
The reflection must not be descriptive in nature; it should provide clear evidence of
understanding of the issues under consideration with an applied review of the business
provided in the task scenario. IT IS ESSENTIAL YOU APPLY THEORIES AND
CONCEPTS AND NOT JUST EXPLAIN THEM.
There is no correct number of academic references to be utilised as the student must
draw as many references as required to provide a high quality answer. Normally,
however, a minimum of 12 academic sources are expected, and a majority of these
should be current, internationally peer reviewed articles/journals or accredited
textbook references. In this style of assessment all external sources and rationales
supporting your evaluation must be referenced. Sources such as Wikipedia and the
like are not accepted. Sources available only online should be avoided unless they are
form a reputable source such as the Kings Fund centre.
You must be mindful of how marks are allocated based on your ability to define,
analyse and apply the key concepts. Without any analysis or evaluation, you may
struggle to pass the module and note that the majority of the weighting in the marks
    is on analysis.
    Specific Module Guidance
To achieve a pass level mark, you must ensure that you describe and then apply the
Health and Social Care Finance module theory to the scenario. This will require
secondary research. Your work will be referenced according to the Harvard
Referencing System and will be in a REPORT format.
To achieve higher marks, in addition to the requirements to achieve a pass mark, you
will need to make informed comparisons between the theories and concepts you have
studied and provide a reflection on how these apply to a business case. The analysis
will be very well applied and will rely upon current literature.
