Forum 1 (Post 1). Clinical leadership is not an important consideration as I am about to graduate as a novice RN.
I disagree with the topic that clinical leadership is not an important consideration for me as a graduate registered nurse. Clinical leadership is an important consideration for graduate registered nurses (Stanely 2018). In  the past few decades, personnel in the nursing profession have progressively taken up more roles and bigger responsibilities in a healthcare setting (Connolly et al.,2018). During that time, the position of a nurse leader emerged, whose main function was guiding other nurses and ensuring that the nurses adhered to the highest standards of safety and quality of care to the patients.

Clinical leadership is important to increase a nurses’ confidence level, competency, and ability to deal with difficult situations. Nurses are required to demonstrate leadership abilities such as ability to organize things and conduct successful operations, ability to showcase proficiency in emergency situations, and the ability to have critical thinking skills (Connolly et al.,2018). Nurses have to demonstrate ability to consume new information, integrate them into the system, and use the new information to provide lifesaving assistance to their patients. generally, the role of nurse leaders in a healthcare setting is to ensure that high quality care is provided to the patient, and that nurses get a good working environment for a better experience (Connolly et al.,2018).

Forum 2 (Post 2). Autonomy and accountability are integral to nursing as a profession.

I agree with the topic that autonomy and accountability is integral to nursing practice. Autonomy and accountability are basic and integral qualities in the nursing profession. Autonomy in nursing allows nurses to assess and perform appropriate nursing actions to patients based on professional expertise, competency and knowledge (Hiscox, 2019). It allows the nurses to make appropriate decisions based on their judgment. Autonomy does not stop to nurses only. It also extends to patients where the patients are allowed to make informed choices concerning their health. autonomy helps bring harmony in the nursing. Accountability affects autonomy in that when nurses are accountable for their actions or skills, and knowledge, their autonomy grows.

Accountability on the other hand revolves around maintaining high quality care for patients and maintaining high competency levels among nurse, while being answerable to the individuals affected by the nursing practice (Hiscox, 2019). Nurses should be accountable for their actions . In practice, accountability ensure that nurses deliver good quality and timely care for their patients, prevent hospital acquired infections, reduce mortality rates asociated with adverse effects in the hospital care setting and improve patient satisfaction levels (Oshodi et al., 2019.

Forum 3 (Post 3). As a graduate RN in what way(s) am I expected to contribute to positive change and innovation in the health care environment?

Innovation is the intentional introduction and use of an ideas, procedures, products or processes in a group, a community, or an organization aimed at improving the output of a the unit, group or company (Reyhan et al., 2018). I can contribute to a positive change   in the healthcare environment in the following ways. First, I will use my position as a nurse to advocate for the rights of patientse and ensuring that they get what they need. I will also participate in making policies That promote delivery of high-quality care to the patients. Secondly, I will be committed to listening to my patients, providing all of their requirements, and if possible connecting them to the resources that they may need (Reyhan et al., 2018).

On the pther handI can  contribute innovation in the healthcare environment in through, first, advocating for policies that promote an innovative culture in the healthcare environement. I will advocate for introduction of innovation challenge prices and the Clinical Excellence rewards for clinicians partissipating in research, quality improvement and innovation. Secondly, I will actively participate as an agent of change for the implementation of policies that promote the use of modern technology in the delivery of care to the patients (Reyhan et al., 2018). Lastly, I will empower other nurses to adopt an innovative in the health care setting.
