It is more probable that I will produce both successful and sensitive texts to the audience’s needs, values, and expectations if I examine the rhetorical situations I write. Whether I am writing an academic research paper or a business email is accurate. The rhetorical situation is a technique that may assist authors and readers in analyzing and questioning the existence, function, and strategy of writing (Pandey, 2020). What is indicated by the term “rhetorical context” is that which gives rise to texts. This concept highlights that writing is a social activity that individuals participate in for specific conditions and goals. Because writing is highly placed and reacts to specific human needs at a particular time and place, authors and readers must keep these considerations in mind while producing and consuming texts.

I feel it is challenging to discover ethos in the healthcare profession, making rhetoric an essential concept. Ethos is defined as “character” in Greek. Credibility, in this context, refers to a person’s writing or speaking skills. For my audience to accept and consider my argument seriously, I must first establish my credibility authority. To convince readers that my argument is authentic, authors must provide a compelling ethical argument. For example, I can now write a Healthcare Situations Memo, the importance of knowing your audience and purpose. How to make a patient education brochure (choosing a topic to target a particular audience and analysis). This is especially important because, As a healthcare advocate, these tasks are essential when securing funds, reaching out to members of the community or businesses for help, imperative for good clinical practice and communicating effectively with a target audience.

I will also use my skills in researching topics related to healthcare, and the location of a publication can be used to determine its credibility; for instance, an article published in a peer-reviewed academic journal, a reputable newspaper or magazine, or a trustworthy online resource. To write a credible article about healthcare, I need to demonstrate skills in the healthcare academy or professional credentials relevant to the article’s topic. In addition, providing insightful, comprehensive explanations of topics and presenting complex information in a clear, approachable manner can help a writer establish a solid reputation.

What I have learned about rhetorical contexts in writing and communication, emphasized in the course, has influenced who I am as a professional in the healthcare industry. Since around a century ago, the word “rhetoric” has evolved in academic and ordinary use to apply to any situation in which people intentionally interact (Hermann, 2018). In conclusion, nearly no two people have identical viewpoints or understandings of the cosmos (this difference varies to a lesser or greater degree depending on the situation, of course). Due to this larger perspective, several contemporary rhetorical philosophers have asserted that rhetoric is about more than just convincing an audience. In contrast to a clear argument, rhetoric is a set of strategies designed to provoke an emotional reaction and affect the audience’s viewpoint. This is particularly important because if you take the time to identify and analyze the rhetorical context in which you are writing, you will be able to compose in a more focused, organized, and effective way.

My writing and communication goals are intrinsically linked to my academic credentials and professional qualifications. If I can see writing and communication as rhetorical issues, I believe I can significantly improve my skills in these areas. This is especially pertinent given that quality patient care extends beyond surgical procedures and diagnostics (Taylor et al., 2018). Communication is vital throughout the whole medical treatment. There is always a need for clear, concise communication, whether a clinic communicates patient information with another institution or when a team of doctors, nurses, and specialists at a hospital decides how to best care for their current patients and welcome new ones. The health of a company’s consumers may gain from its ability to communicate with them, while its health may suffer in the absence of such methods. Effective communication is essential for the success of businesses and health care providers.

Lawati et al. (2018) argue that patient safety is one of the most significant reasons a healthcare facility must have a dependable communication system. Frequently, communication problems are blamed for hospital mortality. It was shown that poor communication was twice as likely to contribute to hospital mortality as a lack of medical knowledge or experience. Patient deaths caused by misunderstandings are preventable, even though communication difficulties may have far-reaching effects if they are not promptly addressed (Lawati et al., 2018). This is one of the many reasons why excellent communication is crucial for patient safety and the daily rhetorical challenges I face.

Thanks to healthcare reform, new care models, such as more significant nurse duties, are being adopted to fulfil patients’ needs better. Consequently, parties are disputing how to legally define healthcare team providers’ responsibilities. In this study, a rhetorical analysis will be conducted on American Medical Association (AMA) materials concerning physicians’ involvement in healthcare teams. Using a rhetorical scenario to make arguments regarding the distinctions between the fundamental concepts of collaboration and independence, as well as to appeal to the principles of patient safety, cooperation, and competent team leaders, would aid in achieving the research objectives. These are considered supportive evidence for protecting the rights and compensation of physicians inside healthcare systems. Some publicly available materials are only accessible to AMA members for analysis.

What I have learned will be helpful now and in the future. I want to pursue a career as a health program coordinator, and writing a rhetorical situation will be paramount in communication. I want to serve my Native American community; therefore, I should anticipate their correct context. As new models of care strive to enhance system quality, access, and value, healthcare providers and their representative organizations are interested in defining the roles of inter-professional team members. To effectively oppose such legislation, nursing groups advocating for the increased nursing scope of practice at the state level must comprehend the opposition’s arguments. When employed sufficiently, rhetoric situations could inform the objectives of such models.
