Simulation is vital to clinical practice and nursing education as it provides an excellent environment for learning and for nurses to acquire skills. Simulation-based learning has been considered an effective way of enhancing the skills of nurses by providing a real-life experience that enables learning in a controlled environment (Rajaguru & Park, 2021). The students do not fear harming patients as it is a virtual environment. It allows students to practice repetitively and provides real-time feedback, helping them determine their weaknesses. They also sharpen their decision-making and critical thinking skills as they practice different sophisticated scenarios requiring them to think quickly. When the students’ competencies are improved, they will likely not make any mistakes, thus improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs (Paulus et al., 2022). This technology can also teach communication and collaboration skills. The simulated scenarios involve interdisciplinary team members who play different roles and communicate differently.
