Research done on various aspects of patient care settings and how to improve patient outcomes in the care settings are important or key to improving individual and population health. A research effort or process is known to undergo various phases, with each distinct phase associated with specific activities, which in the end, add up to help fulfill the goals of the research. One such phase is research dissemination (Sprenoni et al.,2020). The dissemination phase is a key part of the research as the researchers are able to let others know of the results of a conducted research which then enables the results to be implemented in other settings if they are clinically and statistically significant.

The Audience

            It is important to identify the target audience for the dissemination of the project results. The first audience which may have an interest in the project’s result is my organization and the leaders. The organization has staff who are interested in initiatives that focus on improving healthcare outcomes. Therefore, the project results and outcomes will be shared with them. The organization’s leaders are also a target audience since they may want to use the findings to adjust operations within the organization in an effort to improve efficiency and enhance patient care activities (Sarver & McNett, 2020). The research finding is also likely to be used by other healthcare organizations which share the vision of the need to improve patient care outcomes as appropriate.

            The practice setting in question is a setting that offers preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services to patients. In particular, the setting is known for the care of various chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. The facility admits patients whose health conditions require admission and also runs outpatient care services to help offer care for patients who need help with their chronic conditions.

             It is important to present the data in a format and in a way that the end users can understand. Therefore, the results will be expressed in the simplest of languages and formats that every stakeholder or end user can understand. In addition, some content will also be presented in technical language as the primary audience is healthcare professionals who have an adequate understanding of the subject matter (Sarver & McNett, 2020). To enhance clarity, the data is to be presented in graphs and charts, which can easily be interpreted and understood by the end users. Therefore, it is hoped that with a clear presentation of the results and data, the individuals will be able to adequately understand the outcome. It will also be important to inform the target audience about the setting where the project was carried out so that they are careful when it comes to applying the findings in other settings. However, it is important to note that the target audience does not have a specific type of need based on the practice settings.

Publications

            Publishing is one of the most effective ways of disseminating the findings and results of research since the findings can reach a wider audience. Publishing can be done through journals, newsletters, and publications (Ravinetto & Singh, 2022). Therefore, it is important to identify the most appropriate route for publishing the findings. The first one is to share the findings with the regional newsletter publishers, who will then publish the findings and implications to practice in the health section. These newsletters are read by a wide audience, and those who are interested in health topics are likely to come across the findings of the research as published.

            Publishing the results in specific health journals can also be key. For example, the findings can be published in chronic and infectious disease journals, which majorly focus on updating the audience on the current status of infectious and chronic conditions and the interventions applied to control and treat them. The other option is to go the publications route. Publications involve peer-reviewed journals where the findings are scrutinized by experts in the area to ensure relevance and correctness and that the findings are put in a format that is understandable and useful (Ravinetto & Singh, 2022). Publications give a chance for an audience such as healthcare professionals and other individuals interested in patient care activities and initiatives to get to know more about the findings and results of the research

 Presentations

            Presentations can also play a critical role in disseminating the findings of the results. Therefore, as part of the plan, the findings will be presented in workshops organized at the local, state, and national levels. These workshops are usually attended by individuals interested in health topics, therefore a target audience for dissemination. The findings will also be presented at conferences. Local and international conferences are also forums for effective dissemination where the findings can be presented, and any questions are answered (Ravinetto & Singh, 2022).

Conclusion

Sharing the findings and results of a project is a key step in letting the relevant audience know about the project for potential implementation in other settings. Therefore, the findings of the project will be disseminated to the target audience through various forums. The findings will be presented to the facility leaders, peers, healthcare professionals, and in workshops and conferences.
