Sustainable Outcomes
In the past years, the institute of medicine had six domains of quality, including efficiency, timeliness, safety, patient experience, equity, and effectiveness. However, recently, the Royal College of Physicians added sustainability as a seventh domain (Mortimer et al., 2018). Sustainability implores the care providers to offer health services to the patient now and consider the future too. Therefore, sustainability is key to patient care and desired patient outcomes. As such, healthcare professionals and other healthcare stakeholders should consider strategies that can be used to promote the sustainability of patient care services and formulated interventions.

Various attributes support sustainable outcomes. One of them is capacity building. Sustainable outcomes require the nurses and other healthcare professionals to be up to date with the current care practice. Therefore, they must participate in capacity-building programs (Lennox et al., 2018). Another attribute that can support sustainable outcomes is a willingness to implement structural changes or organizational changes. Such changes are accomplished to ensure that the processes and day-to-day activities are effective and can help the hospital achieve its goals, mission, and vision.
In some cases, sustainable outcomes need collaboration. Through collaborations, an organization can effectively acquire expertise and service delivery which they could otherwise not have without such collaborations. Therefore, taking proactive steps to collaborate with similar organizations and other stakeholders with similar goals and objectives can be a key attribute that supports sustainable outcomes (Lennox et al., 2018). Organizations should also use appropriate funding models that can fit the organization’s size and level of operations. The implication is that the funds will appropriately be used for the required purposes hence promoting sustainable outcomes. My project involves standardizing the treatment of hypertensive crisis in perinatal women. This project will have sustainable outcomes such as a reduction of the hypertensive crisis among this group of patient
