Study Evaluation

Perri et al. (2020) conducted a randomized controlled trial to determine the effectiveness of telehealth extended care on weight loss among rural US communities. The research question is clear since the researchers aimed to examine whether telephone counseling would help rural communities in weight gain prevention. Consequently, participants were randomized into the extended care delivered via telephone counseling or an education control program delivered via email.
