Based on this course, practitioners can integrate various strategies into practice to leverage the powerful effect of EBP and advance improvements in healthcare settings. As such, the three strategies that I now integrate into my practice based on learning from this course include systematic review of existing literature, critical appraisal of the sources, and evaluation.  A systematic literature review entails an in-depth search for current literature to get the best evidence supported by research findings. This ensures that healthcare providers leverage current information to make decisions on patient care (DeNisco, 2021). Critical appraisal is a process of careful and systematic examination of research to ascertain its reliability, value, and relevance to a certain situation or context. Critical appraisal validates research evidence and the subsequent application to enhance patient care. Evaluation involves assessing the outcomes of practice decisions to determine their effectiveness.
