As a Director of Women and Children I oversee Labor and Delivery. I have worked in this field for over 20 years and have seen first-hand the importance of having a safe and healthy delivery for both the mother and child. I am proud to say that our hospital has one of the lowest rates of C-section births in the state, and we are always looking for ways to improve upon that number. We know that C-section births can be dangerous for both mother and child, so our goal is to minimize their occurrence as much as possible. As a director in this area, I typically have a number of responsibilities including: -Overseeing all aspects of the Labor and Delivery unit, including patient care, staff management, and budgeting, – Coordinating with other departments within the hospital to ensure seamless patient care, -Serving as a resource for physicians, nurses, and staff on issues related to women’s health and childbirth, -Developing protocols and guidelines for providing quality care to women during labor and delivery, and -Reviewing case studies and medical records to assess the quality of care provided in the Labor and Delivery unit.
Post-Partum and Neonatal Intensive Services
As the Director of Women and Children’s Services at a hospital, I also oversee the Post-Partum and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (PICU/NICU). One of my primary responsibilities is ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care possible. The PICU/NICU provides care for newborns who are critically ill or have special healthcare needs. Our team of highly skilled doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals work tirelessly around the clock to provide the best possible care for our patient
