            Incorporating dignity and respect in healthcare has been an effective approach in nursing aimed at meeting the desired outcome. The type of care that adopts this style is a patient-care approach that links the effective needs of patients (Frisch & Rabinowitsch, 2019). Besides, effective communication and coordination between the patient and the healthcare professionals form part of the patient care approach.

            Holistic nursing will form part of my nursing practice because of the positive patient outcome that the approach has on patients. Adopting effective communication with the patient through an effective understanding of their cultures and interests aids in allowing them to open up (Hilcove et al., 2021). The creation of a free and better patient-nurse relationship allows the patient to share critical information that would effectively offer the best patient care that changes the condition of the patient. The quality of the service delivered by a nurse relies on humility and interpersonal qualities that can meet the needs of the patients.

            Holistic nursing and cultural humility help patients during illness and solve complex social, psychological, and cultural needs that affect patient well-being. The approach does not only expose patients to effective disease management programs but also reduces the cost of treatment. One of the most disturbing issues in healthcare is the cost of healthcare delivery (Frisch & Rabinowitsch, 2019). While patients would spend more on the clinical approach to treatment, holistic nursing comes with the most effective system that reduces the cost of treatment.

            In my nursing practice, I will plan to listen actively to my patients and seek other socioeconomic factors affecting their well-being. This measure would be important in assessing specific social-economic factors important in healthcare delivery (Hilcove et al., 2021). For example, among the mentally ill patients who are unable to afford their medications, I will be able to offer a listening ear to their situations. I will provide them with a holistic care plan that promotes their well-being.
