The patient should also be helped to understand the importance and risks of complementary and alternative medicine and when it is necessary to consider such options.

I would handle the situation with excellent communication, empathy, and patience. Non-compliant patients are challenging to handle since overlooking their preferences might make them feel disrespected. To avoid such outcomes, communication is essential to promote understanding and engagement in the care process. Empathy helps health care professionals to understand patients multi-dimensionally and support them without judgment (Moudatsou et al., 2018). The intersection of these components and considerations implies that the situation requires a cautious approach without overlooking the essential components of evidence-based practice.
