Question 1

The tribal leadership model can help adapt to changes in the healthcare market by improving the performance of every employee in the healthcare organization, especially the employees in the lower levels of tribes. As a leader applying the tribal leadership model, I would look for ways to inspire change among employees in the “life sucks” tribe and inspire them to contribute to the organization’s growth in a meaningful manner. In addition, I would strive to empower those in the second stage to be responsible and accountable since they often feel disempowered and bitter (Logan et al., 2019). Furthermore, I would engage employees in stages 1 and 2 in decision-making since it motivates them and makes them see that they are valuable to the organization.

I would analyze work teams by evaluating the team’s goals and objectives, which is a great way to establish the roles and responsibilities of each team member. Besides, I would inform the team members of what they are working on since it makes them more productive and improves their output. Evaluating the team’s strengths and weaknesses will be important in determining the roles and responsibilities suitable for each team member (Gander et al., 2020). The healthcare industry has experienced massive changes owing to technological advancements. This impacts my organization since we are expected to adapt to technological advances and adopt the technologies in providing patient care. For instance, the advance in the use of health information systems in the healthcare environment has driven the organization to adopt systems like Electronic health records, patient portals, and Clinical decision support.

Question 2

The course assignment on holistic plan of care and the nursing process was valuable and will guide my future practice. I learned that a holistic care plan should help the patient heal and prevent possible health complications from misdiagnosis or wrong medication. A holistic care approach improves healing and promotes comprehensive recovery. This is because healthcare providers address the patient’s health needs multi-dimensionally (Kotwani et al., 2021). The patient’s progress should be assessed to establish whether the pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions implemented helped to achieve the desired patient outcomes. Evaluation is best achieved through continuous assessment and communication with the patient.

Regarding the nursing process, I learned that the first step is performing a detailed clinical assessment of a patient’s condition, which helps to identify actual and possible health problems. The second step of the care plan is implementing the planned care. The patient is given the necessary medications, emotional and mental support, and supported appropriately to practice spirituality (Toney-Butler & Thayer, 2022). A holistic plan fosters the patient’s comprehensive recovery and allows the nurse to evaluate each step of the nursing process.
